Obviously, the Pet Blessing happens in October nearest to St. Francis Day but I finally figured out how to post photos and I like these two from one of our past Pet Blessings. Janet

Yes! Father Peter it worked----so just write away and we'll blog it--every thought you have. Eventually, folks will catch on and come here for your gems of wisdom.

This sounds like a very interesting book! It would be fun to try to make a dinner out of it. We may also have a similar book about foods of the Bible in the Library already--some book of this type seems to come out every decade or so. I remember seeing something like that when I was in there for Spiritual Stitchers the other day.

I was humbled by the generous and loving response of the congregation and my many friends who attended my profession. It seems that I am still getting comments from people and most are saying that it was a special service. I know that it was, because I knew that the Holy Spirit was directing the day. So many prayers had been said for me and for the day by the Little Sisters and others. All the Sisters are now thinking professions could be done during our parish Sunday services, but actually that is very unusual and was a gift that Fr. Peter gave to us...Sisters and congregation. Thank you.

Some of you may know that to further my understanding and for deeper inner formation that I will be living at St. Placid Priory in Lacey with the Benedictine Sisters for November, December and January. I leave on All Saint's Day. I have in my heart the sermon that Fr. Peter gave to us this last Sunday, asking myself, "why are we here?" "what is the next stage?" and "why?" and "where next?". I know these questions are being asked of us as members of the St.HSt.P but they are my questions as a professed Sister. St. Benedict challenges me to "listen with the ear of the heart" and that is exactly what I will be doing on my work-study volunteer project testing out my call to a vocation of community. So I will ask where is my community, is it Sisters who I might live with or with my parish. As in our gospel lesson last Sunday, I can say to Jesus, I want to listen, to see...to know and to be known.
