From the Greek ly re and Persian tar to the Chinese zhongruan and the Peruvian charango\, hi s music travels across cultures and centuries. In this performance\, he pl ays 17 stringed instruments from around the world\, each carrying its own story.\n\nBorn in Naples and discovering the Spanish guitar as a teenager in Rome\, Andre’s path was shaped early on by a master class with the le gendary Andrés Segovia in Madrid. In recent years\, his focus has turned to the history of stringed instruments—their journeys\, transformations\ , and deep connection to the guitar.\n\nBlending Segovia’s technique wit h reverence for tradition\, Andre has forged a unique voice. From the sita r to the oud\, the Renaissance lute to the Baroque guitar\, he weaves warm \, expansive tones and improvisation into a meditative space where the lis tener is invited to drift\, listen\, and disappear.\n\nSpecial Guest Artis ts for the Evening:\nGus Denhard performs on lute\, theorbo\, baroque guit ar\, Turkish ud\, and vihuela. He is a founder of Trio Guadalevin and  th e Eurasia Consort\, and has appeared with Baroque Northwest\, the Oregon S ymphony\, the Concord Ensemble and Chicago Music of the Baroque among many others. He has two recordings to his credit\, the solo recording Cusp of the Baroque and A Meeting Place with Turkish udist Munir Nurettin Beken. S ince 2000 he has served as the Executive Director of Early Music Seattle\, where he has produced events with many artists of note including the Seat tle Baroque Orchestra\, Ensamble Tembembe\,  and Jordi Savall.\n\n \; \n\n \;\n\nNatalie Twigg is a renowned musician\, at 18 she won a scho larship to the Royal College of Music where she studied the oboe with high ly acclaimed soloist\, Sarah Francis and the former cor anglais with the L ondon Symphony Orchestra’s Christine Pendrill\, she has since freelanced throughout Europe and America with orchestras\, jazz\, rock and chamber e nsembles. From being called upon to play with Led Zeppelin to performing s olo recitals at venues including St. Martin-in-the-Fields.
