April 28: Weekly Prayers

Almighty God, you have given your church the ministry of reconciliation. Grant that all who have been  reborn into the fellowship of Christ’s Body may show forth in their lives what they profess by their  faith. Bless our presiding bishop, Sean; our bishop, Phil; and our vicar, Joseph. We pray for the Church  of the Province of the Indian Ocean; and for the faith communities of Christ Church, Anacortes; and  St. Paul, Bellingham. We pray also for the congregation of All Saints Goshen who worships in our building.

You are our God, and we thank you.

Ruler of the kings of earth, Lord Jesus, your word is a word of peace. Speak forth salvation in a weary  world.

You are our God, and we thank you.

All you do, O God, is marvelous in our eyes. Give us a respect for all you have made. We lift up our  gratitude for the blessings of this life, including those we now name, either silently or aloud.

You are our God, and we thank you.

Mighty Savior, raise up faithful witnesses in our community, that our neighbors might come to know  that you love them and have freed them from the power of sin.

You are our God, and we thank you.

O God, you are good. Your mercy endures forever. Be the strength of the weak and the song of those  who mourn. Bless all who struggle with addiction and recovery, especially those who meet in our  building. We pray for those who have commended themselves to our prayers: Kris, Debbie, and their  family; Judy, David, and their family; Leon; Susy; Olivia; Monica; Alex; Vicky; Emilio; Ian; Barbara; Christine; Sue; Denice; Jim; Richard; Suzanne; Karen; Nancy; Sandy; Emily; Helen; Verne; Tim; and  those we now name, either silently or aloud.

You are our God, and we thank you.

Alpha and Omega, you do not hand your beloved ones over to death, but promise life eternal to all  those baptized into your Son. To you be glory and dominion forever. We pray for those who have  died, especially Greg; Kathy; and those we now name, either silently or aloud.

You are our God, and we thank you.

O God, we ask you to bless those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries this week, including Martha;  Hannah; Olivia; Vicky; and those we now name, either silently or aloud.

You are our God, and we thank you.

Amen.
