God, you have opened the way of salvation to all people. We pray for your church, its members, and its mission.
Holy God, let us love one another.
God, you have called leaders in your church from Peter and Paul to the present day. We pray for Sean, our presiding bishop; Phil our bishop, Joseph our vicar, and our Bishop’s Committee. We also pray for the Crown Nominations Commission; the future Archbishop of Canterbury; and Leo, the Bishop of Rome.
Holy God, let us love one another.
God, your church grew through the ministry of the apostles from Jerusalem to Rome and beyond. We pray for The Episcopal Church in Jerusalem & The Middle East. We pray for St. John’s, Gig Harbor; Faith Church, Poulsbo; and St. Andrew’s, Port Angeles. We remember All Saints Goshen, which meets in our building. Be with us as we discern your calling on us.
Holy God, let us love one another.
God, you have given us new life in Jesus’ resurrection. We pray for all those who have been baptized and renewed their commitments of faith this Easter season, especially Asta, Charlie, Leah, Stephanie, and Gabriel.
Holy God, let us love one another.
God, you are making a new civil life. We pray for the leaders of our civil life: Donald our president, Bob our governor, all elected officials, and for the electorate.
Holy God, let us love one another.
God, the gates of your new city will always be open; by day or night they will never be shut. We pray for those vulnerable to immigration enforcement, and for those who assist and protect them.
Holy God, let us love one another.
God, you will wipe away every tear. We pray for the welfare of the world: for peace where there is war, for food where there is famine, for comfort where there is despair. We especially remember those whose lives have been devastated by tornadoes this weekend and those facing starvation in Gaza.
Holy God, let us love one another.
God, you calm the sea and settle its chaos. We pray for all who are sick in mind, body, or spirit, and those who care for them. We pray for those who have commended themselves to our prayers: Emilio; Ian; Barbara; Christine; Sue; Denice; Jim; Richard; Suzanne; Karen; Nancy; Sandy; Emily; Helen; Verne; Tim; Kris, Debbie, and their family; Judy, David, and their family; Alex; Vicky; and those we name now, either silently or aloud. We also remember those who struggled with addiction and recovery, especially the groups who meet in our building.
Holy God, let us love one another.
God, in your heavenly city, there is no death; neither mourning nor crying nor pain. We pray for those who have died, especially Greg; Kathy; those who have died in tornadoes; and those we now name either silently or aloud.
Holy God, let us love one another.
God, to the thirsty you give as a gift water from the spring of the water of life. We give you thanks for those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries, especially Richard; James; and Joseph and Brandon.
Holy God, let us love one another.
Amen.
