The Magi and The Muse

December 2025 & January 2026 An Epiphany Offering

The Offering

Inspired by the painting “The Magi and The Muse” from Natalie Twigg’s audiovisual work “The Gallery,” along with the gorgeous space of St Hilda St Patrick’s, the idea formed to bring this painting alongside other beautifully imagined works by gifted artists who live close by.

Epiphany Musical Offering & Youth Pageant

Once upon a time

A sound I heard way way below

Long long ago

Deep deep down

Up up I lured at the end of the line

3 churches and a black bird

Baking in a pie the Robin began to sing

Listen to this music it’s fit for a king

Alert in the distance a black stallion called Oboe

A little closer in a grazing mother doe with the Robin riding upon her back singing of the magi, a muse and a jack…

of hearts of hearts a jack of hearts

Amuse to a muse bring muse-ic the muse with the magi bring magi-c to the music Amuse.

Magi, natural magic natural wisdom

I-magi-nation , imagine that!

Muse i c, music!

The Jack of hearts, the Christ Card, sacrificial love “

Artists

Natalie Twigg – Award-winning musician/composer, Natalie studied at The Royal College of Music, performing worldwide. Over the past 13 years, she has seen her beloved project “The Gallery” unfold, a musical narrative about 12 pieces of artwork. The story begins as a lady falls from her painting. Sitting at the piano, Natalie plays, narrates and sings her evocative and autobiographical work. Natalie’s conception of the paintings was realized in 2017 as her vision and art direction came side-by-side with American-born artist Todd Alexander.

Todd Alexander – Born into a family of artists, the young Todd Alexander experimented with water colour, oil, as well as hand-thrown pottery. Through charcoal, paint, and collage, Todd allows no boundaries. For him, it’s not about the finished product as much as the journey, discovering emotions and sharing them. His most recent productions evoke the state of balance towards which he strives, using a mixed media of digital imagery, charcoal, oil paints, and other elements to align reality with the interpretation of dimension.

Lauren Johnson – Lauren Johnson is an artist based in Mukilteo. Fascinated by the shape and texture of the world around her, she keeps busy trying to capture some of it. Currently focused on oils, she has also worked in several other mediums, including a strong basis in photography and found materials.

Christine Woerfel – Everett-based artist and designer, Christine Woerfel works in ceramic and mixed-media sculpture.

Amy Squire – A transplant from the Midwest to the Pacific Northwest, Amy Adams Squire recently retired from professional dishwashing. Her last job was preceded by 25 years in publishing and journalism, followed by a spotty and dubious stint in retail. She holds a BA in English from the University of Missouri at St. Louis.
Ms. Squire is a lifelong liturgical musician and artist, as well as a member in reasonably good standing of the Episcopal Church. She considers herself a devoted, albeit somewhat lazy, Christian.

Kathleen Moore – Lynnwood-based teaching artist, Kathleen Moore works in a variety of mediums, including silverpoint, oil, watercolor, and fabric.

Special thanks to sound engineer Jamie Jones.
