A few years ago, PUD decided to cancel a lease agreement for a cell tower on their property just up the street from St. Hilda St. Patrick. The third-party company, Vertical Bridge, that manages the tower, began to reach out to the Diocese about placing one at the church. There was a lot of back and forth with the Diocese for many years and it looked like an agreement would not be reached.
The representative of Vertical Bridge has changed and started negotiations recently. They have reached an agreement with the Treasurer office at the Diocese to place a temporary tower on the property. The lease payments will go toward paying down the loan for the construction of the Sanctuary from 2012. The agreement would allow for a 25×25 fenced in space currently proposed on the east side of the parking lot with additional space for equipment at the head of the walking trail. These are currently just the proposed space. I will be reaching out for more info and updated everyone as the process progresses.
