May 11: Weekly Prayers

Eternal God, we pray for the holy churches in every place, and for the unity of all.

Glory and praise to you, O living God.

For this holy assembly and for all who gather in the name of the risen Christ. Bless the Anglican  Church in Japan, and the faith communities of St. Bede’s, Port Orchard; St. Paul’s, Port Townsend; St.  Luke’s, Sequim; and the congregation of All Saints Goshen.

Glory and praise to you, O living God.

For those recently baptized or confirmed in the Episcopal Church, especially Charlie; Asta; Gabriel;  Stephanie; Leah; and all illumined by the light of Christ.

Glory and praise to you, O living God.

For Valerie, Tyson, Aria, and Maverick who have served St. Hilda St. Patrick faithfully and now  continue their journey of faith. For Sean, our presiding bishop; Phil, our bishop; Joseph, our vicar; Leo,  the Bishop of Rome; and the presbyters, the deacons and all who minister in Christ, and for all the  holy people of God.

Glory and praise to you, O living God.

For the world and its leaders, our nation and its people.

Glory and praise to you, O living God.

For those vulnerable to immigration enforcement, and for those who assist and protect them.

Glory and praise to you, O living God.

For all those in danger and need, the sick and the suffering, the strayed and the lost. We lift up to you  all who struggle with addiction and recovery, especially those who meet in our building, and those  who have commended themselves to our prayers: Emilio; Ian; Barbara; Christine; Sue; Denice; Jim;  Richard; Suzanne; Karen; Nancy; Sandy; Emily; Helen; Verne; Tim; Kris, Debbie, and their family; Judy,  David, and their family; Alex; Vicky; and those we now name, either silently or aloud.

Glory and praise to you, O living God.

For those who walk in death’s dark valley. We remember especially Greg; Kathy; and those we now  name, either silently or aloud.

Glory and praise to you, O living God.

For ourselves, our families, and those we love, especially those celebrating birthdays and  anniversaries this week, including Finny; and those we now name, either silently or aloud.

Glory and praise to you, O living God.

Remembering our most glorious and blessed Virgin Mary; Hilda; Patrick; and all the saints; we offer  ourselves and one another to you, our God, through Christ.

Glory and praise to you, O living God.

Amen.
