God of constancy, may your church remember your works and call to mind your wonders. We pray for the Church of the Province of Myanmar; and for the faith communities of Holy Spirit, Vashon; and All Saints and All Saints Goshen, Tacoma.
Hear us, O God, guide us by your Spirit.
God of justice, give wisdom to our president, to Congress, and to our Supreme Court. Strengthen their understanding, as we begin our 250th year as a nation, of the tyranny and oppression our founders decided to reject. Enable them to pursue the equality of all citizens and fair treatment of all residents.
Hear us, O God, guide us by your Spirit.
God of all nations, we ask you to walk beside those neighbors who are vulnerable to immigration enforcement, and comfort them in their terror and despair. Lift the hearts of those who protect and care for them.
Hear us, O God, guide us by your Spirit.
God of power, bless and protect this loving, caring community of St. Hilda St. Patrick. We thank you for all who share our building, including the congregation of All Saints Goshen, and the groups who offer support to those who struggle with addiction and recovery.
Hear us, O God, guide us by your Spirit.
God of truth and boundless love, strengthen us to confess the truth of ourselves. On this Pride Sunday, and in the days to come, give us courage to love ourselves and others as you have made us. Renew our commitment to respect the dignity of every human being.
Hear us, O God, guide us by your Spirit.
God of compassion, make your healing presence felt to those in need of hope. We ask you to protect all those who work for public safety, especially our wildland firefighters. We pray for those who have commended themselves to our prayers: Emilio; Ian; Barbara; Christine; Sue; Denice; Jim; Richard; Suzanne; Karen; Nancy; Sandy; Emily; Tim; Jose and his family; Elise, Eric, and their family; Michelle; Scot; Susy; Alex; Vicky; and those we now name, either silently or aloud.
Hear us, O God, guide us by your Spirit.
God of eternity, we ask your mercy upon those who have died. Remember, we pray, your servants to whom you have given hope of resurrection, and welcome them into your glorious kingdom. Today we pray for Josh; Lori; Kenneth; Ayden; and those we now name, either silently or aloud.
Hear us, O God, guide us by your Spirit.
God of joy, we thank you for all who are celebrating birthdays and anniversaries this week, including Russell; Brandon; Cynthia; and those we now name, either silently or aloud.
Hear us, O God, guide us by your Spirit.
Amen.
