Grant, almighty God, that we your church, the body of your son in this world, may present ourselves holy and blameless and irreproachable before you. Bless our presiding bishop, Sean; our bishop, Phil; our vicar, Joseph; and our bishop’s committee. We pray for the Church of Pakistan (United); for the faith community of Trinity, Everett; and for our own community of St. Hilda St. Patrick, Edmonds. We pray also for the congregation of All Saints Goshen who worships in our building.
God of Glory, reveal yourself to us.
Guide the people of this land, and of all nations, in the ways of justice and peace, that we may generously welcome both friend and stranger. We pray for those who are vulnerable to immigration enforcement, for those in hiding, and for those who are detained. We ask you to soften the hearts of those who give and receive orders to do harm.
God of Glory, reveal yourself to us.
Gracious God, open our hands. Inspire us to be generous with all we have and all we are. May our own generosity reflect the generosity you show us.
God of Glory, reveal yourself to us.
Bless all those we have long loved and those we are learning to love and those who are yet strangers in our lives. Grant that we may honor the Christ in them, and that our kindness may refresh and bless all we meet.
God of Glory, reveal yourself to us.
Comfort and heal all those who suffer any affliction. Give them strength and courage in their troubles, and remind them of the hope of glory they find in Christ. Bless those who struggle with addiction and recovery, especially those who meet in our building. We pray for those who have commended themselves to our prayers: Ron and Cristy; Dave; Thomas; Maryam; Elise, Eric, and their family; Michelle; Scot; Jose and his family; James and his family; Emilio; Ian; Barbara; Christine; Sue; Denice; Jim; Richard; Suzanne; Karen; Nancy; Sandy; Emily; Tim; and those we now name, either silently or aloud.
God of Glory, reveal yourself to us.
We commend to your mercy all who have died, that they may be eternally reconciled to you through Jesus Christ; and we pray that we may forever dwell with Mary, Martha, Hilda, Patrick, and all your faithful servants in your blessed presence. Today we remember Janet; John; Josh; Lori; and those we now name, either silently or aloud.
God of Glory, reveal yourself to us.
Receive our gratitude for our friends and loved ones, especially those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries this week: Keri; Carol; Pat; Gavin & Tiffany; and those we now name, either silently or aloud.
God of Glory, reveal yourself to us.
Amen.
