You’re Invited to the Great Easter Vigil
Join us on Saturday evening, April 4, at 8:00 PM at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Edmonds for the beautiful and ancient celebration of the Easter Vigil.
The Easter Vigil is the first service of Easter and one of the most meaningful liturgies of the Christian year. We begin in darkness, kindling the new fire and lighting the Paschal candle as a symbol of Christ’s light breaking into the world. Through Scripture, prayer, and song, we journey through the great stories of God’s saving love—from creation to resurrection—culminating in the joyful proclamation: Alleluia! Christ is risen!
This powerful and moving service marks the turning point from the solemnity of Good Friday to the radiant joy of Easter morning. It is a night filled with symbolism, hope, and celebration.
