We will be joining St Alban’s for their annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper and Palm Burning.
Palms blessed on the previous year’s Palm Sunday are burned to make the ashes for Ash Wednesday. This practice turns signs of celebration into ash, reminding people of their mortality, the call to repentance, and their reliance on God—echoing “dust to dust.”
