The St Hilda St Patrick Episcopal Church’s Peace Garden and Labyrinth was dedicated on November 12, 2006.
Our labyrinth is an 11-circuit replica of the one found within Chartres Cathedral, France. The outdoor labyrinth is made of painted concrete and is open to the public.
Walking the Labyrinth
The process of walking the labyrinth can be described as “…a spiritual practice that quiets the mind, opens the heart, and rounds the body. It is a mirror of the soul that reflects back to us where we are on the journey. It opens the door to self and allows us to clean house.”
-Lauren Artress
Remembering
As you prepare to begin your walk, remember that you are blessed.
Releasing
Beginning at the entrance and ending at the center of the labyrinth, quiet the mind, let go of your burdens, and feel inner spaciousness increase.
Receiving
As you step into the center, allow the creative spirit to fill your spaciousness and give you guidance.
Resolving
As you leave the center and return along the path, become aware of the transformation taking place within. Resolve to act on the guidance you received. Look for feelings of rejuvenation, rebirth, strengthening, and integration.
