August 20: Weekly Prayers

Almighty God, we pray that you maintain your gifts and calling on the whole church. Inspire the souls of Justin the Archbishop of Canterbury, Michael our Presiding Bishop, Melissa and Brian our Bishops, Joseph our vicar, and our wardens and Bishop’s Committee, the Bishop Search Committee, and the next Bishop of Olympia. May the church work to restore all people to unity with you and one another. Maintain justice O God. Help us do what is right.

Source of Salvation, whose gifts empower the Church for its ministry of reconciliation, we pray for the Church of England, St. Christopher’s, Olympia, and St. John / San Juan, Olympia. Maintain justice O God. Help us do what is right.

Gatherer of the Outcasts, be with the leaders of this country, this state, and the communities around us, that they may build up the common good for all people. Maintain justice O God. Help us do what is right.
