April 21: Weekly Prayers

O God, we pray for the holy churches in every place, and for the unity of all. We pray for the Anglican Church of Australia; and for the faith communities of St. Bede’s, Port Orchard; St. Paul’s, Port Townsend; and St. Luke’s, Sequim.

Glory and praise to you, our living God.

For this holy assembly and for all who gather in the name of the risen Christ. We ask you to bless the  congregation of All Saints Goshen, who worships in our building.

Glory and praise to you, our living God.

For all those illumined by the light of Christ.

Glory and praise to you, our living God.

For Michael, Melissa, Brian, and Joseph, our bishops and the presbyter; for all who minister in Christ,  and for all the holy people of God.

Glory and praise to you, our living God.

For the world and its leaders, our nation and its people.

Glory and praise to you, our living God.

For all those in danger and need, the sick and the suffering, the strayed and the lost. We pray for  those who have commended themselves to our prayers: Adrienne, Peter, and their family; William;  Alison; Jon; Grace; Rhonda; Jacob and his family; Ryan and Ruthie; Joe and Janet; Emilio; Ian; Barbara;  Christine; Sue; Giles; Denice; Jim; Richard; Suzanne; Karen; and those we now name, either silently or aloud.

Glory and praise to you, our living God.

For those who walk in death’s dark valley. Today we remember Keith; Kathleen; Natasha; and those  we now name, either silently or aloud.

Glory and praise to you, our living God.

For ourselves, our families, and those we love. We ask you to bless all who celebrate birthdays and  anniversaries this week, especially those we now name, either silently or aloud.

Glory and praise to you, our living God.

Remembering the Blessed Virgin Mary, Hilda, Patrick, and all the saints, we offer ourselves and one  another to you, our God, through Christ.

Glory and praise to you, our living God.

Amen.
