Loving God, you have received us as your children. Make our hearts shine ever brighter with the pure light of Christ, that all people might witness your all-encompassing love. We pray for the entire Episcopal Church; for our presiding bishop, Sean; our bishop, Phil; and our vicar, Joseph. We ask you to bless the faith communities of St. Margaret’s, Bellevue; and Good Samaritan, Sammamish. We pray also for the congregation of All Saints Goshen, who worships in our building.
Shine forth in our lives, O God, hallelujah!
Almighty God, let all the nations witness your glory. Cause righteousness and praise to cover the earth.
Shine forth in our lives, O God, hallelujah!
Great God, you are mighty in power. You graciously make the earth burst forth with green plants. You provide food for flocks and herds. You give us the resources to survive on this planet. May we be thankful in our hearts and generous in our lives.
Shine forth in our lives, O God, hallelujah!
Generous God, it is you who establishes peace. Comfort your people with safety and security. Assure us that it is not by our own strength, but by your goodness, that we can rest in quiet confidence.
Shine forth in our lives, O God, hallelujah!
Compassionate God, you are the healer of the brokenhearted. It is you who binds up our wounds. You lift up the lowly. Clothe your children with the garments of health and salvation. Bless those who struggle with addiction and recovery, especially those who meet in our building. We pray for those who have commended themselves to our prayers: Larry; Ron; Colin; Sophia; Charlie; Tom; Kim and her family; Jessica; James; Lela; Kenneth; Jayne; Mariam; Alec; Leah, Maxwell, and their family; Dale; Charlie and his family; Sila; Eric and Jay; Dee and her family; Emilio; Ian; Barbara; Christine; Sue; Giles; Denice; Jim; Richard; Suzanne; Karen; Will; Janette; Nancy; Sandy; Emily; Helen; Verne; Tim; and those we now name, either silently or aloud.
