January 26: Weekly Prayers

O God, we pray for the church of Jesus Christ in every place. We pray for this holy gathering, and for  all the body of Christ. Bless our presiding bishop, Sean; our bishop, Phil; our vicar, Joseph; and for all  who minister in Christ. We pray for the Episcopal/Anglican Province of Alexandria; and for the faith  communities of Holy Cross, Redmond; St. Clare’s, Snoqualmie; and St. Margaret’s, Bellevue. We pray  also for the congregation of All Saints Goshen, who worships in our building.

God above, have mercy on us.

We pray for this country, for all nations and their leaders, and for those who guard the peace.

God above, have mercy on us.

We pray for all those in danger and need: the sick and the suffering, prisoners, captives, and their  families, the hungry, homeless, and oppressed. Bless those who struggle with addiction and recovery,  especially those who meet in our building. We pray for those who have commended themselves to  our prayers: Alex; Vicky; Alec; Aria; Dale; Rick; Troy; Amy; Larry; Ron; Colin; Sophia; Charlie; Tom; Kim  and her family; Jessica; James; Lela; Emilio; Ian; Barbara; Christine; Sue; Denice; Jim; Richard; Suzanne;  Karen; Nancy; Sandy; Emily; Helen; Verne; Tim; and those we now name, either silently or aloud.

God above, have mercy on us.

We pray for the dying, the dead, and those who grieve. Today we remember Giles; Jim; Doug; Guy;  and those we now name, either silently or aloud.

God above, have mercy on us.

We pray for ourselves, our families, and those we love. We remember especially those celebrating  birthdays and anniversaries this week: Chelsea; Charlotte; and those we now name, either silently or  aloud.

God above, have mercy on us.

Remembering the blessed Virgin Mary; Hilda; Patrick; and all the saints, we offer ourselves and one  another to you, our living God, through Christ.

God above, have mercy on us.

Amen.
