July 9: Weekly Prayers

Creator God, lift up your holy Church, its leaders, and all people of faith, that they may live and work  every day to bring your divine love into our hurting world. Today in the Diocesan Cycle of prayer we  pray especially for the missions and ministries our own church, St. Hilda St. Patrick, Edmonds. In the  Anglican cycle of prayer, we ask your blessings on the Anglican Church of Burundi. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.

God of truth, inspire with your wisdom leaders whose decisions affect the lives of others, that they  may act with integrity and courage. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.

We pray for all parts of the world suffering from conflict and violence, remembering especially the  people of Ukraine. May justice and peace prevail.  Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.

We pray for justice, wisdom, and healing in our cities, towns, farms, schools, homes, and work places,  as we search to find loving ways to be with each other. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.

God of Hope, comfort and restore all who suffer in body, mind, or spirit. May they know the power of  your healing love. We pray especially for Karen; Emilio; Ian; Barbara; Christine; Sue; Giles; Denice; Jim;  Richard; Suzanne; and those we now name, either silently or aloud. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.

Wrap those who have died in your eternal light, and shine upon those who grieve. Today we ask for  your warmth on Noelle; and those we now name, either silently or aloud. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.

God of Light, we pray today for those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries this week, including: Nancy, and those we now name, either silently or aloud. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.

AMEN.
