July 16: Weekly Prayers

For the peace from above, for your loving-kindness, and for the salvation of our souls. We pray to  you, O God. Have mercy.

For the peace of the world, for the welfare of your Holy Church, and for the unity of all peoples. We  ask your blessing upon the Anglican Church of Canada; and for the faith communities of St.  Augustine’s-in-the-Woods, Freeland; and St. Philip’s, Marysville. We pray to  you, O God. Have mercy.

For Michael, our presiding bishop; Melissa and Brian, our bishops; Joseph, our vicar; for the person  who will become the next bishop of the Diocese of Olympia; and all clergy and people. We pray to  you, O God. Have mercy.

For our President, for the leaders of the nations, and for all in authority. We pray to  you, O God. Have mercy.

For the city of Edmonds, Washington; for every city and community, and for those who live in them. We pray to  you, O God. Have mercy.

For seasonable weather, and for an abundance of the fruits of the earth. We pray to  you, O God. Have mercy.

For the good earth which you have given us, and for the wisdom and will to conserve it. We pray to  you, O God. Have mercy.

For those who travel on land, on water, in the air, or through outer space. We pray to  you, O God. Have mercy.

For the aged and infirm, for the widowed and orphans, and for the sick and the suffering. For your  blessings upon those who struggle with addiction and recovery, especially those who meet in our  building. We lift up to you Emilio; Ian; Barbara; Christine; Sue; Giles; Denice; Jim; Richard; Suzanne;  Karen; and those we now name, either silently or aloud. We pray to  you, O God. Have mercy.

For the poor and the oppressed, for the unemployed and the destitute, for prisoners and captives,  and for all who remember and care for them. We pray to  you, O God. Have mercy.

For all who have died in the hope of the resurrection, and for all the departed. Today we remember  Noelle; and those we now name, either silently or aloud. We pray to  you, O God. Have mercy.

For deliverance from all danger, violence, oppression, and degradation. We pray to  you, O God. Have mercy.

That we may end our lives in faith and hope, without suffering and without reproach. We pray to  you, O God. Have mercy.

Defend us, deliver us, and in your compassion protect us. We pray to  you, O God. Have mercy.

For our friends, especially those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries this week: Glenn; Keri; Paige  and Jeff; and those we now name, either silently or aloud. We pray to  you, O God. Have mercy.

In the communion of Hilda, Patrick, and of all the saints, we commend ourselves, and one another,  and all our life to you, Holy Trinity. We pray to  you, O God. Have mercy.
